Gearing up for the holiday

That first weekend after Thanksgiving is generally reserved to decorate the house for the holidays and get prepared for the busy month ahead. Jadyn had been asking for weeks when we were going to take out the Christmas decorations. I love that she gets as excited as I do about pulling out all the special things that only come out at Christmas, not to mention the fact that she is a great little helper!



The kids also did the Home Depot workshop so they could make special gifts for the grandparents and just FYI, yes Jake participated in all or most of the same activities as Jadyn but he has not been the most willing photo subject as of late.



And of course, Sunday brought the first day of December which also meant the return of our scout elf Jelfie! The kids were both beyond excited and Jelfie did not disappoint. He set up a special North Pole breakfast with all of his favorite foods - hot cocco, candy canes, M&Ms and donuts. It was just the thing to officially kick off our holiday season:





And so with that, the holiday season was off to a great start!
