Since I love writing with a passion, this blog is a great way to keep family and friends up to date on the happenings of our family, not to mention a pretty personal glimpse into my mind. More so than that however, it has also turned into a great way to keep in touch as people respond to my posts and tell me what is going on in their lives. And I would be remiss not to mention the best network of blog buddies anyone could ever ask for. But most importantly, this is going to be the most awesome gift for the kids when they get older - it is going to blow any baby book I could have made out of the water.
As per the tradition I started last year, here are the three blog posts from the last 12 months that hold a particularly special place in my heart:
This last year has seen some huge milestones for the Funny Noses - Jadyn said good-bye to diapers and pacifiers and hello to preschool. Jake reached a huge milestone when he started kindergarten in the fall. Joe went back to school to complete his Bachelor's degree and I finally gained control over my health anxiety. We spent a lot of time exploring Joshua Tree National Park, took many trips to the river and enjoyed countless day trips to fun destinations like Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. But no matter what we were doing and no matter what challenges we faced, it was done with a fierce and infinite amount of love. And like every other year past, present and future, that is what I want the kids to remember most about 2009.
